Prairie Wind Ranch

Sapphire is a 2006 Friesian/appendix quarter horse cross that we are very proud to have produced here at

Prairie Wind Ranch. Her sire is Alex and her dam is our beautiful quarter horse/thoroughbred cross

blue roan mare, Docs Blue Chex Dr (aka Sox). We have been enamored with Sapphire since she was

born which is why we decided that she should remain here with us. She will have her first foal in

early May, 2010, and we are so excited at the possibility of a 3/4 Friesian blue roan! She has

been introduced to tack and lunges well under saddle.

After foaling next summer she will start her riding career.

Sapphire is bred to a first premium Friesian stallion for an early May 2010 foal. We are not offering this

foal in-utero as we may be very tempted to keep it if it is a blue roan filly. We believe that this

foal has the potential to be the only 3/4 Friesian blue roan in the world!
