In Our Hearts Forever

Prairie Wind horses that have enriched lives

We strive to find the best loving homes for our foals and are rewarded with lasting friendships that are formed in the process.  We absolutely love to hear how our former horses are doing in their new homes.

Prairie Willow

2004 Blue Roan Filly            Alex x Maggie

Janet in Virginia

Wanted to let you know that Willow has matured into the nicest horse we could have hoped for.  We like her so much that we are hoping to purchase a sibling from you in the future.

Thank you!

Prairie Dancer

2004 Black Gelding            Alex x Sox

Sue and Steve Fisher, Madison, WI

I am in heaven with Prairie Dancer he has personality plus, he  is like having a huge puppy dog.  I had my Dad and sister over for fathers day and were all standing with him in the pasture petting him.  He just loves people.  The farrier was just here yesterday and he was perfect for the farrier. Dancer is an extremely smart and perceptive horse. I couldn't have asked for a nicer horse.

Prairie Whisper

2004 Black Filly            Alex x Abby

Barb in Montana

Here is Whisper enjoying her favorite thing in this heat!  I never had a horse that would stand for this, much less come asking for it!  She is doing well, threw a saddle on her this week, she didn't care AT ALL. She is such a sweetie, and she is so BIG!!!  She is well over 15 hands, about 15.2 or 3.

Prairie Mist

2005 Black Filly            Alex x Annie

Marilyn in Colorado

I think all three of our Alex foals look like him.  Raven is really gorgeous and Misty and Belle will have the most hair and such easy going dispositions! Misty is just a beautiful girl. We measured them the other day and it looks like Misty will be over 16 hands and Belle may be 17 hands when she matures!  Raven will probably be 16.1.  We love them all and love watching them play in the pasture.

Prairie Travler

2005 Black Gelding           Alex x Bobbie Murphy

Ashley in Texas

Travler has been perfect. He's just so smart, the first time I asked him to move off the pressure and he did it right away!  So I thought hmm... maybe we'll try opening the gate and the first time he did it perfectly!  I've been trying to teach my paint this for about two years and he still won't calmly open a gate!  Ha, I love it.  I LOVE his temprament! Thanks so much Linda for this wonderful horse! I am still just as in love with him as when I first saw him.

Prairie Onyx

2006 Black Gelding            Alex x Seattle

Katie in Riverton, WY

Linda, I just wanted to send you pics of Onyx and how wonderfully he is developing. They were taken in Dec, 2008. He's already 16 hands! at 2 1/2 years old. He has filled out so much! He also is a very smart horse and loves to work. I am training him in dressage and he has plenty of go and swift forward movement! Lots of power! Just wanted to thank you for him! We love him sooo much! Everybody here comments on how pretty he is!

Prairie Black Magic (now Rasta)

2007 Black Gelding           Alex x Bobbie Murphy

Sue and Steve Fisher, Madison, WI

I wanted to give a long overdue up date on Dancer and Black Magic, who I now call Rasta.  These two horses are the nicest and most lovable horses I have ever met! I can just stand there and watch them for hours, they are both so beautiful!!  Rasta is an extremely sweet colt, he loves to be brushed.  He was also very good for the farrier.  You don't ever have to worry about theses two horses they are both very loved and spoiled by both Steve and I.  They have their forever home!
